In our Motioncube Lab we’ve been testing a new, native integration for MindVision USB 3.0 high-speed cameras — and the results are exactly what multimedia integrators want to see: 400+ FPS on the live camera feed.
Why does this matter? Because in sports-focused interactive installations, the biggest challenge is simple: fast-moving objects disappear between frames. At standard frame rates, a tennis ball can turn into a blur or vanish entirely at key moments. With 400+ FPS, the ball stays visible frame by frame, which opens the door to more reliable detection and tracking for dynamic sports use cases.
This short video is a technology preview — a quick look at what we’re validating right now and what’s coming next for Motioncube-based sports experiences.
